'saddle someone with a problem/work'하면 '남에게 (세금 등을) 매기다, 부과하다'의 뜻이다. 'saddle the nation with heavy taxes'하면 '국민에게 무거운 세금을 부과하다'로 해석할 수 있다.
위와 비슷한 상황 표현으로 Who gave you all this work? (누가 이 모든 일은 너에게 주었지?), Who did you piss off to get this workload? (누구를 화나게 했길래 너에게 이런 짐이 맡겨진거지?)등이 있는데 여기서 piss off는 속어로 '몹시 화나게 하다'라는 뜻.
