Beauty and the Beast (3)
|
|
In the morning the merchant and his daughters left the town. The country was quiet, and the trees were green, but the house was very small. Beauty's sisters did not like it.
"We're not going to work. We aren't servants," they said.
Beauty got up at four o'clock every morning and cooked and cleaned the house. After that she worked in the garden. She loved the garden and all the flowers.
Her sisters stayed in bed all morning and cried, because they did not have any new dresses.
