“She doesn’t want to be your fairy. She wants to be mine. She thinks you’re big and ugly.”
Wendy did not like this.?
Peter said, “But, you know, Tink, you can’t really be my fairy-I’m a boy and you’re not.”
“You silly donkey!” answered Tink, and she flew into the bathroom.
“She’s a rude little fairy,” Peter said. “She only works in the kitchen, among the pots.”
This wasn’t true, but Peter usually said the first thing that came into his head.
Wendy went on asking questions. “Who lives with you in the Never Land, Peter?”
“The Lost Boys,” said Peter. “They all fell out of their prams when they were babies, and nobody missed them. So the fairies took them to the Never Land. I’m their captain.”
“Why are they all boys?” asked Wendy.

“팅크는 네 요정이 되길 원치 않아. 내 요정이 되길 원해. 팅크는 네가 크고 못생겼다고 생각해.”
웬디는 이것이 싫었습니다.
피터는 말했습니다. “그렇지만, 알다시피, 팅크, 넌 정말로 내 요정이 될 수는 없어-나는 남자고 넌 아니잖아.”
“이 멍청한 바보야!” 팅크는 이렇게 대답하고 욕실로 날아들어갔습니다.
“그 앤 버릇없는 어린 요정이야.”하고 피터가 말했습니다. “그 앤 부엌, 그릇들 사이에서만 일해.”
이것은 사실이 아니었지만, 피터는 보통 머리에 떠오르는 대로 말했습니다.
웬디는 계속 질문했습니다. “네버랜드에서 누가 너랑 함께 사니, 피터?”
“잃어버린 소년들이야.” 피터가 말했습니다. 그 애들은 아기일 때 유모차에서 떨어졌는데, 아무도 그 애들을 보고 싶어하지 않았어. 그래서 요정들이 네버랜드로 데려갔지. 나는 그 애들의 대장이야.”
“왜 전부 남자아이들이야?” 웬디가 물었습니다.
