백화점 세일 예찬 (1)

미국에서의 백화점 할인행사에 대해 알 수 있습니다. 역시 쇼핑을 좋아하는 여성이 이에 대해 잘 아는군요.
조금 빠르다 싶은 말투지만 이게 평소 대화 속도임을 감안해서 반복청취를 통해 이 속도에 익숙해지도록 합니다.


 
    Kim: In America, you can walk into any department store at any time of the year and find something on sale.
    Jeff: On sale.
    Kim: Whether it's designer, whether it's just everyday stuff, something is always on sale. And then every few weeks you have the red tag sale and the 50 percent off sale.
    Jeff: And the holiday sales.
    Kim: And the holiday sales.
    Jeff: I hardly ever go to those department stores. Are they really that much cheaper when they're on sale?
    Valerie: Yeah.
    Kim: Yes. Oh, yes.
    Jeff: They are? Really?
    Kim: It's worth it.
    Valerie: 50 percent, 80 percent.
