Valerie: Well, now that summer is pretty much here, I guess everyone's thinking about what to do for sum-mer vacation. Are you guys planning anything in particular?
David: Well, the warm weather makes me want to go to the beach.
V: Yeah, I know what you mean. As kids, we used to go to the beach a lot. I remember starting from age zero, practically, we were out at the lake. What about in Canada? Do you guys go to beaches? You'ree both Canadian, right?
    D: Mm-hm.
    V: Yeah.
    Tom: We are.
V: Yeah. What'd you do in the summer...
    T: Well...
    V: When you'ree a kid?
T: When you'ree a kid, you know, the family is a much tighter unit. Everyone revolves around the household, and we were more likely to take our holidays all together, the parents and the kids, and we'd always go up to what is called the Okanagan, which is sort of a dry, desert-like area inside British Columbia, where there are a lot of lakes. And we used to always get a summer house or something along those lines. Lot of swimming, lot of sunburns.
    V: Yup, yup.
