V: Actually, we did a lot of camping as a family, except it wasn't desert kind of terrain. It was more green, and again, lots of lakes. And, um, yeah, I remember those wonderful, sort of late nights around campfires, roasting marshmallows. I think we did that all the way through junior high school. But you know, when you get to be a high school student, you'ree less interested in being with your family; you kind of want to do stuff with your friends. At least that's my, was my story. Well... Did you ever go to summer camp? You know, not camping per se, but like kids going to 4-H camp, or things like that? What about you, David?
D: Um, when I was 16, I went to, like, an Outward Bound mountaineering camp.
V: Oooh. What do you do?
D: Well, there were a number of different programs. The one I went on was like a 30-day trek through the mountains, but they actually have a camp set up where you could practice different mountaineering skills.
V: Are you, are you a mountaineer today?
D: (laugh) No, but it really was a good experience at the time. It gives you a lot of self-confidence because you'ree sort of out in the wild.
    V: Oh, it sounds great.
