Gulliver's Travels (24)
|
|
I had a great fright at the first sight of the man's cat. It was three times the size of an ox! But I was glad to find that she did not try
to hurt me. I had not slept two hours, when I was awakened at a strange noise, and saw two rats, each the size of a large dog.
They were both no the bed, and one of them made a rush at my throat. I drew my sword, and struck him, so that he fell down
dead. The other rat fled, though I gave him a great cut on the back.
