The Donkey and the Load of Salt (2)
|
|
After a time they came to a stream which had no bridge. As the Donkey walked through the water,
he stepped upon a stone and fell. Splash, splash, went the water over the bags of salt. When he got up
and went on his way, he found his load much lighter. The water had soaked into the bags, and had
dissolved the greater part of the salt.
