The Fox and the Goat (1)

A Fox once hanppend to fall into a deep well. He tried in every way to get out, but at last
began to think it was in vain, and that he must die there.
While he was thinking how sad that would be, a Goat came and looked down the well,
wishing that he could get some water. He soon saw the Fox.
"Hello," said the Goat, "is that water good?"
"It is the best I ever tasted," answered the Fox. "It is cool, and clear, and very nice. Come down and try it."

여우가 한번은 깊은 우물에 빠졌습니다. 그는 빠져나가려고 온갖 노력을 하였지만, 마침내 그것이
아무 소용이 없고, 자기는 그곳에서 죽을 수 밖에 없다는 생각이 들기 시작했습니다.
그것이 얼마나 슬픈 일일까 생각하고 있을 때, 염소가 와서 물을 좀 얻기를 바라며 우물을 내려다
보았습니다. 그는 곧 여우를 보았습니다.
"여보게." 염소가 말했습니다. "그 물 좋은가?"
"내가 맛본 것 중 최고일세." 여우가 대답했습니다. "시원하고 깨끗하고, 아주 좋아. 내려와서 마셔봐."
