The Camel spoke again, “I keep the tent open by standing thus, and make it cold for us both. May I not stand wholly within?” “Yes,” said the Arab, “come in wholly if you wish.” But now the tent proved to be too small to hold both. “I think, after all,” said the Camel, as he crowded himself in, “that there will not be room here for us both. You are the smaller; it will be best for you to stand outside. There will be room then for me.” So he pushed a little, and the Arab with all haste went outside the tent.

낙타는 다시 말했습니다. “제가 이렇게 서 있으니 텐트가 열려 있고, 그래서 우리 둘 다 춥습니다. 제가 아예 안으로 들어가 서면 안될까요?” “그러렴.” 아랍인이 말했습니다. “원한다면 아예 들어오렴.” 그러나 텐트는 둘 다 수용하기에는 너무 작다는 것이 드러났습니다. “제 생각으로는,” 낙타가 비집고 들어오며 말했습니다. “여기에 우리 둘이 있을 공간은 없을 것 같습니다. 주인님은 더 작으시니까, 주인님이 밖에 나가 서 계시는 게 좋겠습니다. 그러면 내가 있을 공간이 생기겠습니다.” 그래서 낙타는 조금 밀었습니다. 그러자 아랍인은 황급히 텐트 밖으로 나갔습니다.
