Wendy and Peter

A little bright light flew in at the top of the window and flew quickly around and around the nursery. This was a little girl-fairy; her name was Tinker Bell, and she was looking for Peter Pan’s shadow. She didn’t find it, because it was in the drawer. She fell into a jug, and stayed there until Peter flew into the nursery and called, “Oh, Tink! Come out of that jug. Did you find my shadow?”
Tinker Bell told him it was in the big bow. She spoke like a little silver bell, in the fairy language, but peter understood her. He was very excited when he found his shadow again, and by mistake he shut Tinker Bell up in the drawer. Then he tried to put his shadow on again, but he couldn’t do it. He tried to stick it on with soap, but it fell off. He sat down beside it, and cried.

웬디와 피터

조그만 불빛이 창문 위로 날아들어 방안을 빙글빙글 돌며 빠르게 날았습니다. 이것을 조그만 소녀 요정이었으며, 이름은 팅커 벨이었습니다. 그녀는 피터 팬의 그림자를 찾고 있었습니다. 그것이 서랍 속에 있었기 때문에 요정은 그것을 찾지 못했습니다. 요정은 주전자 속에 빠져서, 피터가 아이들 방으로 날아들어와 “오, 팅크! 그 주전자에서 나와. 내 그림자를 찾았어?” 하고 말할 때까지 그곳에 있었습니다.
팅커 벨은 그림자가 큰 상자 속에 있다고 그에게 말했습니다. 그녀는 조그만 은종처럼, 요정의 언어로 얘기했지만, 피터는 알아들었습니다. 그는 자기 그림자를 도로 찾을 때 매우 흥분하여 실수로 팅커 벨을 서랍에 가두었습니다. 그리고 나서 그는 자기 그림자를 다시 입으려고 했지만, 할 수가 없었습니다. 그는 비누로 그것을 붙이려고 했지만, 떨어져 버렸습니다. 그는 그림자 옆에 앉아 울었습니다.
